Active practice
Making, production, repair or conservation takes place regularly.
A Centre for Craftsmanship is an existing working site in which craft is regularly practised and taught. Recognition follows demonstrated function, continuing activity and capability—not a particular building type.

A Centre can be an independent studio, guild, workshop, forge, farm, mill, production enterprise, conservation practice, museum with active making, TAFE, university or research and teaching facility.
Recognition describes the capability already held and provides a route into the national network, directories, referrals, skills pathways and collaborative projects.
