ACA is an independent, industry-led alliance advancing Australian crafts, trades and design as a connected sector of skilled work, enterprise, manufacturing and living heritage.

Its work brings together practitioners, enterprises, educators, researchers and industry partners to strengthen skills transmission, provenance and productive capability. This includes developing relationships between Australia and Europe that support trade, research collaboration, design and manufacturing innovation, and access to international markets.
First Nations cultural knowledge, designs, practices and ecological knowledge remain under the authority of the relevant knowledge holders and communities. Consent, access, attribution and disclosure must be governed through First Nations-led processes and ICIP principles.
